Camerota. Last night's strong waves engulfed the Mingardo road that connects Palinuro to Marina di Camerota. Sand, debris, and the remains of fallen trees invaded the roadway, causing a section of asphalt to collapse, where firefighters had already intervened several times to secure the road.
The municipality of Camerota has ordered the closure of the affected section, the road remains closed to traffic. In the meantime, the firefighters, civil protection, municipal workers and the municipal police have gone to the site to monitor the situation.
The closure of state road 562 causes quite a few inconveniences, especially for those who need to reach Marina di Camerota.
