44-Year-Old Man Hit by Train in Portici Dies

Train service has been halted in Portici (Naples) following the collision of a 44-year-old Italian man. The accident, the circumstances of which are currently under investigation, occurred at 2:45 PM. A Trenitalia regional train 21273, traveling from Campi Flegrei and headed to Santa Maria La Bruna, carrying sixty people, struck the man for reasons currently under investigation shortly before arriving at the Portici station, near a closed level crossing. Traffic has been suspended and a replacement bus service has been activated. The Railway Police are on site.
