The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, in view of the approaching Christmas, has seized, inside a warehouse in Ottaviano, 430.000 counterfeit items, including “Louis Vuitton”, “Casio G-Shock” and “Daniel Wellington” watches, and toys, including the most requested by children such as “lol”, “Avengers” and “Fortnite”.
In particular, the “Baschi Verdi” of the Pronto Impiego Group of Naples carried out a search of a premises, discovering counterfeit goods, ready to “invade” the Christmas gift market, many of which were even equipped with artfully made packaging identical to the original.
At the end of the operation, a Chinese citizen was reported for receiving stolen goods and counterfeiting.
Today's activity is part of the device to combat commercial abuse and counterfeiting and consolidates the service results achieved by the Guardia di Finanza of Naples in the fight against trademark counterfeiting and the protection of "Made in Italy".
The purchase of counterfeit products, sold at particularly low prices, can pose dangers to citizens due to their poor quality, as well as a situation of potential danger to health, especially that of the little ones.
The final data from the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, during the year, amount to 939 interventions, 46.622.047 counterfeit and/or unsafe items seized and 771 individuals reported, 7 of whom were arrested.
