Currently, the greatest disruption is occurring in the Caserta area and the Lago Patria area. An extension of the orange-level weather alert is under consideration. The most serious situation occurred in the Lago Patria area: on the Giugliano side of the lake, several roads were flooded in Campania. The Circumlago highway was inundated and closed to traffic. The closure affected both the Giugliano side of the lake and the Castelvolturno side. According to inspections conducted by technicians and the Giugliano Municipal Police, the flooding was caused by the mouth being blocked by debris and sand transported by storm surges and falling into the Castelvolturno area. The situation is currently being monitored by municipal police teams. Efforts are underway to clear the mouth of the lake, coordinated by the Civil Protection Department, which has deployed excavators from the SMA. In the Caserta area, several landslides occurred in the Roccamanfina area, particularly in Sessa, Marzano, Conca, Teano, and Campagnola.
