“Millions more euros of off-budget debt and other million-dollar transactions are about to arrive in the city council. We are talking about 2.130.905,52 euros claimed for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017 by Senesi spa and Tekra srl, who in the meantime have transferred the credit to a factoring company that has already proceeded with a specific injunction. To the 2.130.905,52 euros must be added another 779.053,13 euros in interest. But it doesn't end here, because to these approximately 3 million we must add another debt accrued towards the company Cofely SpA, also transferred, relating to invoices 2006/2010 (you read correctly: 2006/2010) for 616.053,89 euros, to which must be added interest for 319.441,5 euros. We are talking about more than 3 million and 800 thousand euros of previous debts, which will obviously decrease a little thanks to the transactions, which we should pay in the next two and a half years (this time at least they think they will respect the end of their mandate without throwing them on those who will come after) and which, adding to the many debts already transacted in these years, are literally strangling the city, depriving us of essential services, culture, welfare, environmental policies and interventions for development". This is yet another report produced by the Mondragone Bene Comune association. “We continue to believe that these artifices – we read further in the complaint – which in fact attempt to hide the bankruptcy, are illegitimate and we are certain that sooner or later the system will collapse. We are just desperately trying to postpone a failure that has been going on for some time, making citizens tighten their belts and sinking the city. In recent years, AMBC has desperately tried to convince the System to clarify, to put its cards on the table and to approve a plan to exit the crisis. But there were other bells – unfortunately – that they wanted to listen to. But we feel we need to ask Pacifico some questions: when did you become aware of these umpteenth previous debts? And why, betraying your electoral program, did you not activate due diligence upon your inauguration in order to definitively reveal the skeletons in the closet? Who forbade you? And who even forbade you from appointing a budget assessor? In the middle of August you kicked out Senesi spa, which – according to you – was accumulating poor services in waste management and you chose at your discretion an srl in its place. But how do you think a company that hasn't been paid for years, like Senesi spa (or others), can pay salaries and cover management costs? And does it not occur to you that the poor service is also the consequence of missed payments? It would be necessary to put an end to tax avoidance and tax evasion once and for all, but you continue to trust the usual immovables, the same ones who caused the current default, who feed you the usual ones who are destined not to solve the problem and, therefore, we will continue to accumulate huge debts towards any company that will manage the waste service, continuing, consequently, to have a dirty city. The Civic Pact, miserably betrayed by you and your mentor, had the goal of change. But you are doing like the others and in some cases even worse. Can you come up with a shred of an idea to get out of this spiral? And if by trying your hardest you can't produce anything, when do you think you'll hang up the tricolour sash and do away with a function that is far beyond your meager possibilities?"
