Fuorigrotta unleashed touts. The historic Lidia Togni circus in via giochi del Mediterraneo has been targeted. Vinicio Togni's spectacular circus is prey to touts who harass families and teenagers on the street who go to watch the shows.
Scalpers even ask for 35 euros for a ticket to the stands, even though buying it legally at the circus ticket office would cost much less.
The circus owner, who claims to be powerless in the face of this phenomenon, which he has repeatedly reported in vain, urges visitors to exercise caution and purchase tickets exclusively at the ticket booths, where they also cost much less and there's no risk of problems. Indeed, buying a ticket from a scalper for as little as €35 can cause serious problems for the unwary buyer who, in good faith, nevertheless purchases an invalid ticket, risking being denied entry to the circus or even being reported. Therefore, caution is advised.
Inside the circus, however, the show is top-notch, with international stars performing before a raucous audience. Jugglers, trapeze artists, handstanders, dancers, clowns, and various artists thrill the audience. As always, the traditional performance by Vinicio Togni, the legendary lion tamer, couldn't be missed, with his magnificent white lions and his cavalry. A truly top-notch show.
However, at the exit there is always a constant presence of touts ready to harass spectators at the following time.
