Two people are under investigation for the death of the deputy commissioner of Mobile Unit of Naples, Ciro Lomaistro, 50 years old, which occurred yesterday evening in via Solfatara in Pozzuoli following a road accident. These are the first conclusions reached by the Municipal Police of Pozzuoli at the end of an intense day of investigations. The images taken by the private and public video surveillance cameras present in the area were decisive and allowed a first reliable reconstruction of the facts. The register of suspects includes a 40-year-old driver of the public transport bus lines, and the 70-year-old driver of a Fiat Panda. According to the reconstruction of the event, the police officer riding his scooter lost control of the vehicle, perhaps due to a dip in the road, while trying to overtake the bus, ending up being hit by it. The driver of the heavy vehicle did not notice anything and continued on his way. The Fiat Panda, coming from the opposite direction, hit the body of the policeman already on the ground. The two vehicles were seized. Further scenarios are not ruled out while we wait to hear witnesses, acquire new camera images and, above all, the results of the autopsy.
