In Forcella, on Monday 16 December, the Traders' Association, deciding that it needed to restore a minimum of decorum to the neighbourhood, installed a Christmas tree in Piazza Calenda and another in Piazzetta Forcella. Unfortunately, the redevelopment of the area was not successful as, within a few hours, the first was vandalised while the second was taken away by unknown individuals.
"There are no words to describe the absurdity of those who commit acts of vandalism against their own territory, their own neighborhood and their own city. It is sad to know that those who want to give a boost to social and territorial growth with collective initiatives are hindered and damaged by those who do not love their city and do not even show the minimum respect for the rules of civil life, the city cannot be abandoned to itself. Vandals, uncivilized people and criminals devastate everything and every attempt to create decorum and beauty in the city. There is a need for harsh and decisive reactions." - denounced the Regional Councilor of the Greens, Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the radio host Gianni Simioli.
