Christmas of Solidarity for FAST The Association of Pharmacists Active in the Territory visited the Pausillipon Pediatric Hospital on Via Posillipo in Naples on Boxing Day to give a morning of joy to the young patients in the oncology ward.
At the end of the meeting, the president of FAST Pietro Carraturo, accompanied by the director of the pediatric facility Anna Maria Minicucci, delivered to all the children gift packages with toys collected thanks to the active collaboration of FuturArt, a company that operates in the sector of distribution of children's toys.
"We wanted this morning's meeting to demonstrate our association's closeness to children and their families in times of suffering and need. Giving a few more hours of happiness is very important in the difficult journey that these children are forced to face at such a tender age," said FAST president Pietro Carraturo, at the end of the meeting. Charity and solidarity, but also prevention in adolescence and youth, were the themes of the last appointments with which the association created and chaired by Carraturo closed the cycle of meetings for the year 2019.
In Carraturo's visionary project, the idea that is gaining traction is that of the affirmation of a new role for the figure of the pharmacist, no longer just a distributor of medicines over the counter but also a trainer and activator of solidarity tools through which to influence the improvement of the living conditions of those who suffer.
