The PrimoPiano Gallery in Naples continues and expands an artistic project that saw the light in Turin for “The Others Art Fair 2019”.
On display at the Ex Opsedale Militare Alessandro Riberi are the works of Mario Laporta, Massimo Pastore and Pier Paolo Patti, to which are added the “voices” of twenty-three other artists who make up a new version of “LES UNS ET LES AUTRES_a RECOMPOSED BOLERO”: an exhibition/workshop with further additions and interventions, which cannot be scheduled because it is continuously being composed.
Curated by Antonio Maiorino Marrazzo, in the spaces of Galleria PrimoPiano (via Foria 118), the vernissage is scheduled for tomorrow, December 20th at 19.00:29 pm. The exhibition will be open by appointment until February 2020th XNUMX.
“The exhibition project traverses the pulverization of the ideals of the twentieth century and confronts the contemporaneity of both in a recomposition/re-proposition of those ideals that animated a world and that seem to die out under the ashes of sloth or burn on the high flames of selfishness in these first twenty years of the twenty-first century.
Three generations of artists in dialogue along the ridge of contemporary history and the new providentialism. Twenty-six artists in a visual and sound banquet that transcends the temporal order while having its beginning in chronography and in the evident cultural attitude that has considered history as an accumulation of progress and irreversible truth.
The ideas of cohesion, which had animated the European nations at the end of the Second World War, led to the construction of a united Europe ready to reject any attempt at military conflict between the contractors. In a few decades this cohesion has been shattered with growing nationalist/sovereignist fronts with many suspicions that the old continent is now a land of conquest for the world powers.
Twenty-six artists: from the artists born while the Second World War was upsetting and devastating Europe, making its deep crisis as a continent even more intense, no longer a center that structures universal thought (Croce spoke of finis europae), up to the artists born while the Berlin Wall was being torn down by the people of East Germany and who fully experienced the post-ideological historical phase.”
