According to the association "Nessuno tocchi Ippocrate," a doctor from San Giuseppe Vesuviano was attacked by the son of a deceased patient. The man, according to the story, first verbally and then physically assaulted the woman, and then attacked a nurse and a security guard. The 47-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement, has been charged with assault and disruption of public service. The doctor suffered a wound to her wrist, which fortunately healed within a few days.
In this regard, the Neapolitan trade unionist Giuseppe Alviti, leader of the association of sworn special guards, intervened: "As already requested to Minister Speranza, as soon as possible they must provide the emergency room with more units of sworn special guards, but with powers equal to those of the police force, at least during service hours, otherwise the only solution will be militarization".
