Ancient sayings are never wrong, and the one that goes, "A suit doesn't make the man," is quite fitting for what happened this morning near the Bolivar Theater in the Materdei area, specifically on the steps next to it. Two individuals robbed a young man, who, from the way he was dressed, looked very much like a freelancer. The two bandits, pointing a gun under his jacket, stole a Bulgari watch worth €3000, an iPhone, and cash. But the young man who had been robbed, who wasn't a freelancer but a Penitentiary Police Officer, undaunted, picked up a wooden club from the street and set off in pursuit of the two on his scooter. A violent fight ensued; the two bandits fled, but all the stolen goods were recovered.
