Five thousand euros will be allocated to the purchase of a special monitor for cancer patients at Pausilipon Hospital. This is the contribution Neapolitan pharmacy owners have made to help doctors at Santobono Pausilipon Hospital better manage the hospitalization of their "young guests" at the Neapolitan pediatric facility. Specifically, the multiparameter monitor will complete the semi-intensive care unit in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, headed by Dr. Mimmo Ripaldi. This device, capable of accurately monitoring key vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, ECG, and oxygen saturation, will be used specifically for young cancer patients undergoing treatment with experimental drugs. This morning, the symbolic handover of the check took place at the Santobono Pausilipon Hospital Health Directorate in the presence of Director Anna Maria Minicucci, Federfarma NAPOLI President Michele Di Iorio, Pausilipon Foundation Director Flavia Matrisciano, and a delegation of councilors from the Neapolitan pharmacy owners' union, who promoted the initiative and brought it to the Federfarma NAPOLI Board. "We started," explained the Federfarma NAPOLI representatives, "with a specific request, asking what the facility needed, and that's how we arrived at the price for this state-of-the-art monitor the department needed; equipment that, until now, had to be shared between Vomero and Posillipo."
