Trees were uprooted, billboards toppled, and even a container ended up on a garbage truck. The list of damages caused in Naples by the storm that hit the city this morning is long. In Ponticelli, in the eastern part of the city, a container stacked on other structures fell, crushing a compactor belonging to Asia, the waste collection company. The driver was unharmed and hospitalized for shock. Numerous trees fell on the Naples ring road, fortunately without hitting any cars. On Via Santa Teresa al Museo, a gas station sign and its several-meter-tall metal pole fell, again without injuring anyone.
