The Nco, “Nuova cucina organizzati”, an activity of the social cooperative “Agropoli” born in Casal di Principe (Caserta) for the job placement and sale of products from the lands confiscated from organized crime, will close on January 7th together with all the activities of the cooperative. The reason, they explain from the Nco whose acronym resumes, reversing its value, that of Raffaele Cutolo’s Nuova Camorra Organizzata, is the impossibility of enjoying the economic advances provided by the decree of the Regional Council of Campania number 282 of 2016 only “for the social and health services provided by the accredited centers, the large structures”, unlike “the cooperatives that manage the health budgets and, through this system, use assets confiscated from crime in the province of Caserta”. The Nco activists speak of a "chronicle of a death foretold" and of "double standards with terrible and alarming results", denouncing "the failure to pay invoices for the last two years, to which is added the second half of 2012, always the result of yet another buck-passing between Municipalities-Regions-ASL". All this, they add, "highlights an apocalyptic political and administrative framework from which it is clear, unequivocally, that none of the institutional actors involved have the real intention of resolving the issue, but rather this system is being led to suicide". Faced with this "irresponsible, chaotic and dramatic management of the sector's prospects", the management of the Cooperative, as stated in a note, "can do nothing but reluctantly scale back its business activities by immediately closing, starting from January 7, 2020, the Nuova Cucina Organizzata social restaurant-pizzeria located in Casal di Principe, on a property confiscated from the worst local crime, with the consequent dismissal of the staff, and then gradually proceeding to the total closure of all other activities. For years they have labeled us as a territory of silence and not very courageous, but everything that is happening shows that courage has not been lacking at all and that the one who has failed is precisely the State. And in order not to make this sacrifice of ours in vain - they conclude from the Nco - we appeal to the President of the Republic so that those who have the due responsibilities can at least pay".
