Public Prosecutor Gerardina Cozzolino of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere has closed the investigations into the 'easy licenses' and has notified 44 suspects of the documents before officially submitting the request for indictment. The investigation carried out by the Flying Squad and the Digos of Caserta has allowed them to uncover an organization that, through the corruption of public officials (employees of the Motorization Department) and the alteration of the administrative procedures for the issuing of driving licenses, guaranteed the driving document.
Four driving school managers, members of examination boards, the former director of the Civil Motorization of Caserta, customer receivers and the 'substitute' of the candidates ended up under investigation. The 'easy licenses' were provided upon payment of sums of up to 4 thousand euros.
