Sold out for the inauguration of the now famous Living Nativity Scene of Pimonte which has reached its twenty-seventh edition. In a suggestive and fascinating setting of the Valle Lavatoio, the representation of the Nativity has finally come to life. Shops, actors and figures of ancient trades take visitors back to an ancient village of two thousand years ago. From the "Solachianiello" to the "Ostaria" passing through the "Masturascia" and finally to the "Capanna della Natività". The Living Nativity Scene, taken care of in the smallest details, this year will also see the participation of the "Cantata dei Pastori Itinerante". On December 28th and 30th, in fact, under the
directed by Nunzia Durazzo there will be the representation of the Cantata dei Pastori Itinerante: «The Cantata dei Pastori is a classic of the Christmas tradition and in this village it will be even more evocative - declares the director. The representation that we will stage will be itinerant, passing through the various "huts" set up for the Nativity scene - concludes Nunzia Durazzo - to then end with the final scene in front of the Hut of the Nativity ». The setting of the Living Nativity Scene, this year, is made even more evocative by the natural watercourse that, due to the rains of the last few days, has reappeared in Valle Lavatoio, giving a unique atmosphere. «The water has returned to flow in Valle Lavatoio after many years - declares Speranza Fusco, Councilor for Tourism of the Municipality of Pimonte - creating an enchanted and enchanting scenario, catapulting visitors into a village of other times. It is clear that it is not enough to have only a “location” to put on a representation of this kind – concludes Councilor Fusco. The Nativity scene came to life thanks to the synergies of the Piedmont Associations and the many volunteers who with every means and with enormous efforts
they try to carry on a local tradition".
«We are satisfied with the large number of visitors who came for the first day of the Living Nativity Scene –
says the Artistic Director, Andrea Grosso. Exceeded our expectations for this first day, we
We hope that the turnout will continue along this path for the next few days". The Living Nativity Scene will be
open to visitors on December 29th, then January 1st and 5th, concluding this twenty-seventh edition with
the arrival of the Three Kings on January 6th. On December 28th and 30th, instead, with a first show at 16.30pm and
a repeat at 18.30 pm will be the Cantata dei Pastori Itinerante, staged by the Theatre Association “I
Ruffiani” in collaboration with the Pro Loco Pimonte.
