The first magical weekend in the Marian city is underway. Following the markets' opening on Wednesday, December 11th, as promised, the weekends will be packed with events for all ages. Tonight at 7:00 PM, residents are invited to the square to watch Santa Claus's street band perform, along with live music and a variety of acrobatics. The event will be surrounded by wooden huts provided by Tanagro Legno Idea. Traditional products are the must-haves at the fair, but there's no shortage of imported products and flavors, such as mulled wine and chestnuts. Participating companies hail from various Italian regions. Visitors can taste chocolate from Modica and Campobasso, Neapolitan mustacciuoli, cured meats and cheeses from Alto Adige, Tuscany, and Basilicata, Calabrian licorice, Cilento honey and figs, Apulian taralli, and chocolate specialties made by Calabrian producers. Visitors can also witness the making and packaging of nougat. In addition to the scents and flavors, there are stands dedicated to crafts, quality jewelry, and traditional Neapolitan nativity scenes. You can stroll among the stands for Christmas shopping and to complete your Christmas gifts with handmade items!
