Luca Maris, Italian singer-songwriter, record producer, and public figure, took the stage at the Naples Festival with the song "Luntano senza e te" (Luntano without and you), by Luca Maris, and was awarded the special prize "Tu si 'na cosa grande" – INTENSITA. This participation in the festival comes after a difficult period for the singer-songwriter, which he now shyly confesses publicly: "I suffered from a terrible illness. It was stress-induced anorexia. It was a very difficult two years for me, and for this reason I experience this special award with enormous joy, almost a rebirth. I would like to sincerely thank Massimo Abbate (artistic director and patron of the Naples Festival), Mario Abbate Jr., and Rino Abbate, sons of Mario Abbate, an Italian singer and actor, one of the most famous and greatest exponents of Neapolitan song." The 2019 Naples Festival was won by singer Antonio Petrosillo with the song "Parlann e te" by Michele Petrosillo and Antonio Petrosillo. The Naples Festival's musical direction was led by maestro Lino Pariota.
