Anas has reopened in both directions the section of state road 163 'Amalfitana', at km 34,600, in Maiori, which had been closed due to the collapse of a protective wall on a private garden. Salerno MP Anna Bilotti of the Five Star Movement has submitted a parliamentary question to the Minister of the Environment regarding the Amalfi Highway: "We know that a national plan against hydrogeological instability has been in place for some time, and we know that more than €12 million is earmarked for planning interventions that the Regions and Municipalities are having difficulty translating into soil protection projects. The results are what we are seeing firsthand, such as the events currently unfolding on the Amalfi Coast. As reported by the Court of Auditors, among the 54 funded projects is the Integrated Project for the Safety of the Amalfi UNESCO World Heritage Site, for €600 in planning that would unlock projects totaling €15 million. Despite this, we see no sign of any construction sites. I will shortly submit a question to the Minister of the Environment so that he activates all procedures to investigate the reasons for this inertia and verify all liability. The citizens of the Amalfi Coast, but also of all the Italian territories hit by the events of recent days do not deserve mockery on top of the damage."
