Antonio Parlato, 'the Santa Claus' of Anacapri, found alive in a farmhouse

Hundreds of rescuers searched for him in every corner of the island. He had hidden, after a domestic dispute, in a small storage room adjacent to his home. Antonio Parlato, the 'Santa Claus' of Anacapri disappeared on Christmas Eve after leaving his home in Grotta Azzurra, was found by his son this morning. He had not brought his medicines with him and was taken to hospital for treatment. The search, which began yesterday afternoon as soon as his daughter filed a missing person report, resumed this morning at 7 with the participation of around 400 people mobilized by the municipal administration who had joined the carabinieri, police, coast guard, municipal police, civil protection and representatives of the national mountain and speleological rescue corps of Campania. The operations were coordinated by the deputy commander of the Anacapri Carabinieri station in collaboration with the Capri Carabinieri. The man had left his home in Anacapri in via Grotta Azzurra after 22 pm on Christmas Eve and after having traditionally distributed gifts to friends' children while dressed up as Santa Claus.
