A soldier, Caterina Glorioso originally from Vitulazio, in the province of Caserta, died from a gunshot in the bathrooms of the Flaminio station of the A metro in Rome. Help was in vain. At the moment, suicide is suspected. The Carabinieri are on site. The station has been closed, and trains are passing through without stopping to allow for operations by the police.
The soldier was 30 years old and had been in the Army for 5 years. She had recently been serving in the operation “Strade Sicure“, in the Lazio-Abruzzo group. Her family members were notified. The reasons that led her to the tragic act are not known.
