“The episode of the theft of the tree in Forcella and the attempted theft of the one in Piazza Vincenzo Calenda, right in front of the Trianon Viviani theater, is truly disconcerting. The incident humiliates the initiative promoted by the newly formed association of AForcella merchants and the healthy forces of the neighborhood.
Unfortunately, we are paying the price for the abandonment by local institutions, on the liveability front, between environmental degradation, poor lighting, illegal occupation of public land: an ideal breeding ground for corruption and illegality.
The cultural and civil effort of the Trianon Viviani risks being wasted if the territorial conditions do not improve as soon as possible. It is a shame, precisely at this moment of the relaunch of the theater as a stable center for the valorization of the Neapolitan song under the artistic direction of Marisa Laurito, which sees the commitment and action of the president Pinto and the entire board of directors in synergy with the associations of the territory, the parishes and the schools.
Therefore, we trust in the commitment of the police forces for a widespread activity of control of the territory and of the Municipality for an acceleration of the redevelopment project of Piazza Calenda.”
