Yesterday evening, December 28, the State Police officers of the Flying Squad and the Public Safety Police Station of Battipaglia, as part of the services arranged for the prevention and repression of the illegal sale of firecrackers and explosive materials, during a targeted search pursuant to art. 41 TULPS in the basement of a building in the Mariconda area of ​​Salerno, found and seized paper bombs and other explosive material, for a total of approximately 73 kg. The materials were illegally held by VA, aged 32, and CG, aged 23, both from Salerno with no criminal record, who, at the end of the operations, were arrested for illegal possession of explosive and pyrotechnic material and placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority under house arrest pending the validation judgment. After the intervention of the bomb disposal expert from the Police Headquarters, the seized materials were made safe and entrusted to a specialized company for subsequent destruction.
