The Lega Nazionale Dilettanti, chaired by Cosimo Sibilia from Campania, closed the celebrations for its sixtieth anniversary with an event in Rome. Presenting the commemorative stamp, Sibilia underlined: "2019 was a special year for amateurs both for sporting results and for the opening to new frontiers such as eSports. A careful eye on costs, with the second positive balance sheet in a row, also allowed us to invest more resources in young people and in policies to support companies. We are approaching the holidays, it is nice to close this birthday with the family of Italian sport. These months have meant for us the opportunity to get even closer to the territory and strengthen the bond with the base and the institutions, I thank the Municipality of Rome for welcoming us in this magnificent setting" . "I have spent most of my life in the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti, a movement with impressive numbers that alone represents 25% of Coni members - the words of Malagò, accompanied by the deputy Franco Chimenti and the general secretary Carlo Mornati - Congratulations to the LND for the work it is carrying out at a sporting and social level".
The last comment is from Gravina: “Participating in many LND events I have had the opportunity to perceive the passion and strength of the people who are part of it. It is a world of patrons who make available an invaluable resource: time”.
During the last birthday party, Luigi Buondonno from Stabia, a Real Anacapri footballer who saved the life of his opponent Filippo Saviano, who had lost consciousness after a clash during a game, was awarded the golden ball.
