Scampia and the suburbs reduced to a landfill. Protests by citizens who overturn the bins

Regional Councilor of the Sole Che Ride party, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, and Fiorella Zabatta, a member of the Green Party's national executive, have denounced, through a video, the degrading situation in the Scampia area, starting with Via Ghisleri, a typical example of the situation in the Neapolitan suburbs during these holidays, while the city is overrun by tourists. Green Party representatives went to the scene last evening to document what is happening, including the overturning of garbage bins in the street in protest. These actions certainly do nothing to solve the problem.
What you see in the video is a terrible scenario where the streets are completely invaded by waste of all kinds, creating obstacles for passers-by, degradation and environmental pollution.
"It is disconcerting to see how the outskirts are reduced to a landfill while at the same time the city is overflowing with tourists visiting. Surely there are responsibilities on the part of ASIA, in the management and collection of waste and bulky materials, but we cannot hide the fact that there is also blame on that part of the citizenry that does not care about the rules and respect for the laws, people and the territory. Throwing waste in this way, without any differentiation, in a completely arbitrary way, badly dirtying the streets is barbaric behavior. We must, certainly, organize the management of waste collection better but it would be useless without a radical change in the way of reasoning and acting of certain cavemen." - Borrelli and Zabatta harshly commented.
