Since yesterday evening, there has been no news in Anacapri of Antonio Parlato, 63, who every year on Christmas Eve, dressed as Santa Claus and carrying a basket, makes the rounds of friends' homes to deliver gifts, starting in the late afternoon, then returning home to Via Grotta Azzurra late in the evening, an area far from the island's residential center. Yesterday, Anacapri's Santa Claus, after his usual rounds, returned home around 10:00 PM, and there appears to have been a family argument over his late return, according to a missing person report filed with the Carabinieri station. After quickly changing clothes, he left again without returning home. The family's wait was in vain, and they even launched searches in the area surrounding the house, but no trace of the man was found. Today, the family filed a missing person report with the police and provided some details necessary for identification. The man is of medium build, approximately 170 centimeters tall, with a thick white beard and white hair. Antonio, after changing, put on blue pants and a blue jacket and went out. He had neither his wallet nor his cell phone, and he didn't even use his scooter to get around. His relatives, after searching all night but failing to find him, filed a complaint with the Carabinieri in Anacapri. Following the complaint, an online appeal appeared, reading: "Anyone with information about Antonio Parlato can contact the Carabinieri at 112 or contact his daughter Giada," who also posted a plea for help on Facebook.
