Regional Secretary of the SMI, Luigi De Lucia, stated: "We signed the AIR today at the headquarters of the Regional Health Department and have safeguarded the rights of all colleagues working in continuity of care. The public territorial continuity of care facilities will not be affected," De Lucia added, "and the current staffing will not be affected. For the integration of continuity of care in the AFT, we await the next National Collective Bargaining Agreement." The SMI is satisfied, added Ernesto Esposito, Secretary of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, because the requests of our union side have been accepted to protect the public territorial facilities of the former medical guard, which will soon be computerized and without reducing the staffing throughout the Region.
