Vitulazio. Today, at 15:XNUMX p.m., at the parish of San Secondina in Bellona, the funeral of Caterina Glorioso will be held, the young soldier who decided to take her life in the bathrooms of the Flaminio station of the A metro in Rome.
She was only 30 years old and was serving in the Operation Safe Roads with the Garibaldi Brigade. She was an effective member of the Second Pontieri Regiment of Piacenza. A beautiful, young girl, who committed an act that is still inexplicable to many. Caterina wanted to leave a letter of 15 pages in which she explains the reasons that led her to suicide, but today is the day of grief: during the funeral there will be a day of mourning for the city and all the flags displayed outside the town hall will be flown at half-mast.
The mayor also suspended all events in the city, inviting all citizens to express their support for the mourning in the ways they deem most appropriate.
