Yesterday morning, the officers of the Torre del Greco Police Station and the personnel of the Guardia di Finanza and the Municipal Police, with the support of the crews of the Campania Crime Prevention Unit, the canine unit of the General Prevention Office and the IV Mobile Unit, carried out extraordinary administrative checks throughout the territory and in particular in the market area, aimed at combating the phenomenon of illegal trading.
During the activity, in an apartment near via Gradoni and Canali a 34 year old woman from Corallina was found in possession of 175 sticks of tobacco weighing approximately 35kg and was arrested for smuggling foreign manufactured tobacco.
Furthermore, 3 people were reported for illegal possession and sale of foreign manufactured tobacco, 8 people for illegal occupation of public land for commercial purposes and finally 174 counterfeit CDs and DVDs were seized.
