A tornado that struck the entire Phlegraean Fields area in the early hours of the morning caused the downing of about fifteen tall trees and numerous billboards. The most critical situations were in upper Pozzuoli, where a tall tree in a private park along Via Terracciano was uprooted by strong winds and fell onto the access ramp to the ASL Napoli1 health center, where the on-call doctor's office is located. A car parked there was destroyed, and vehicular and pedestrian access to the office was closed. A service entrance was opened for users. Municipal technicians and the Fire Department were on site. Trees also fell on the Domitiana state road, on Via Campi Flegrei, and along the streets of the Monterusciello neighborhood. No injuries were reported. Vehicle traffic is still operating, with a speed limit. Problems also occurred in Licola, near the sewage treatment plant, where traffic was obstructed by roadside barriers and fallen billboards. Civil Protection and municipal police teams were on site. Roofing damage was also reported on buildings on both Via Solfatara and Monterusciello. The roofing was literally torn off, causing water to seep into the structures. The fish market and the retail fruit and vegetable market on Via Fasano were also destabilized by the wind. Several gazebos were knocked down. Workers were caught preparing to set up Christmas stalls. Critical situations also arose in Quarto due to fallen billboards along Via Campana and Corso Italia. Via Cuccaro was impassable, flooded by slush and mud from the hills.
