Here we are, Sky will also arrive at the beginning of 2020 as a Mobile operator; it will be an operator in the telecommunications sector in Italy (already written in the AGCOM Register for more than a year); it will also be able to avail itself of the collaboration with Open Fiber and with the partnership with Fastweb. Satellite TV via the internet is therefore guaranteed with Sky Q (remember the agreement signed with Open Fiber in March last year):
The official statement from Fastweb's CEO  Albert Calcagno at the presentation of the new Milanese headquarters called Nexxt.

We will also be an industrial partner of Sky. We have always sold our services to those who request them, and with Sky it will be the same.

Maximo Ibarra, let us remember, has been the Head of Sky Italia for about six months: thanks to his skills acquired in Wind in previous years, he will allow the market entry process to be accelerated and Sky UK to follow in its footsteps shortly thereafter.

There are various issues at stake such as the possibility of using the FTTC network and that part of the TIM network managed by Fastweb, in addition to technology times for the last mile connection with mobile frequencies, 5G above all, with the acquisition of the spectrum from Tiscali for 198 million euros.

Sky's offer is expected for the first three months of 2020, and will concern – at least initially – only landline and internet.
