The municipal administration, in addition to making changes to the regulation of the tourist tax, is deploying a professional software for monitoring and controlling the trend of tourist flows and revenues, capable of providing more effective control tools to achieve tax equity and reduce the level of tax evasion.
Thanks to the new StayTour Software, around one hundred tax evaders have already been identified.
The new regulation also provides that those responsible for tax obligations, in addition to the owners of accommodation facilities, are also those who carry out real estate brokerage activities.
This means that real estate agents who manage properties for tourist rentals, in addition to collecting the rent, must also collect the tourist tax and then pay it to the municipality.
