He's under house arrest but leaves his home to sell New Year's Eve fireworks: Carabinieri officers from the Marigliano station surprise and arrest 51-year-old Carmine Buonocore. Heedless of the measures he was under, the man had set up a small stall on Via Pontecitra, not far from his home. When officers recognized him, they immediately snapped him into handcuffs. He faces charges of escape and possession of explosives for illegally selling explosive materials. The fireworks for sale—187 devices totaling 4 kg of explosives—were all seized. Buonocore has been held in custody awaiting trial.
