This morning in Acerra, the military of the local station identified another illegal oven – one was discovered yesterday by colleagues from Varcaturo – set up in the basement of a house. There, the military came across a married couple – a 50-year-old woman with no criminal record and a 57-year-old man already known to the police for weapons – busy working on about 50 kilos of bread. During the inspection, the Carabinieri, together with personnel from the ASL Napoli 2-Nord, ascertained that there was no administrative or health authorization. In addition, about a quintal of firewood was stacked in the premises, but these were pallets with nails still stuck in them.
The Carabinieri then seized the premises and all the equipment present, while the food products were destroyed. The couple was reported for producing food substances in poor condition and harmful, and given an administrative fine of 1.000 euros.
