The section of the SS163 "Amalfitana" state road between km 27,300 and km 27,500, in the municipality of Amalfi, has been reopened. It was previously closed following a landslide caused by adverse weather conditions in the Tyrrhenian region of Campania last December, according to Anas.
Following the investigations carried out by the Municipality of Amalfi, the road section was reopened, in a temporary configuration, by establishing an alternating one-way system, regulated by a traffic light system.
In the event of weather warnings issued by the Civil Protection or in the event of heavy rain or strong winds, total traffic closures will be implemented, coordinated by the Municipality of Amalfi.
However, the transit ban for vehicles with a mass exceeding 3,5 tonnes remains in place between km 12,270 (Montepertuso junction) and km 31,240 (ex SS373 junction – Ravello junction).
