A meeting has been called for 6:00 PM on Friday, January 10, in the Casamarciano municipal council chamber to address the waste issue and specifically the possibility of an aerobic composting plant at the Tufino waste treatment plant.
The call, addressed not only to residents but also to all environmental associations as well as the mayors of the area, bears the signature of Nicola Annicchiaro, municipal councilor of Casamarciano and head of the Schiava hamlet.
"An acknowledgement but above all the most appropriate response to the many requests that are reaching me from various quarters, starting from my councilors and fellow mayors who, like me, are seriously concerned about the nature of the aerobic plant that would compromise the already precarious health of this territory - explains the mayor of Casamarciano Andrea Manzi and president of Ato3 Campania - it is my duty to inform and communicate to the citizens all aspects relating to the issue. I understand the importance of composting sites but it is appropriate to first verify the environmental state in which to build them and I believe that currently the Stir of Tufino is not able to accommodate this type of plant considering the conditions in which it already operates with a series of structural problems caused by a completely incorrect waste collection by Naples that continues to dump here in an approximate way and the bad smell is one of the most evident evidence of this".
