Castellammare, assets of 'Golden Goal' loan shark confiscated

Today, in Castellammare di Stabia, military personnel from the Torre Annunziata Investigative Unit executed the confiscation and seizure order as a real preventive measure issued by the Court of Naples – Section for the application of preventive measures, at the request of the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate, ordering the seizure of 4 properties (apartments) intended for residential use and a financial relationship – for a total value of €900.000,00 – against CASCONE Francesco, born in 1962, already arrested in October 2010 and November 2010 as part of the investigation conducted by the Torre Annunziata Investigative Unit called “GOLDEN GOAL”.
In the context of the investigation cited, where the crimes of mafia-type criminal association, fraudulent transfer of assets, association for the purpose of drug trafficking, drug dealing, clandestine betting, use of money of illicit origin were contested, CASCONE was found responsible for the crimes of usury and extortion aggravated by the mafia method.
The investigative activities, developed on the level of real prevention measures, have allowed the identification of the following at CASCONE:

• the subjective prerequisites constituting a qualified dangerousness – attributable to the sentence of 10 years of prison and a fine of 3000,00 euros, irrevocable from 12.06.2014, imposed on the proposed individual found guilty of assiduous extortion activities in favour of the D'ALESSANDRO Clan – and a generic dangerousness in relation to other previous sentences of conviction for crimes against the person, against property and in relation to weapons;

• the objective prerequisites – for the application of the ablative measure – in the availability of movable and immovable assets and financial resources with a value manifestly disproportionate to the overall income capacity expressed by the proposed family unit.
The investigations also allowed us to identify some private deeds which confirmed that CASCONE had the title to the possession of two properties not as a result of two donations, which were clearly simulated, but rather as a result of an onerous deed of sale.
