Friday 24 January at 21.00:XNUMX pm, in the splendid setting of the Galleria Borbonica in Naples, which holds the memory of thousands of human lives that found shelter there during the war years, a unique experience in the world: cinema in the dark.
In the most complete darkness, which deprives you of sight but incredibly exalts all the other senses, you will feel like you are inside the scenes of a film that you will not see with your eyes. But with your hearing, your imagination, your breath broken by the bombs and the storm of emotions. A rainy day in Naples. The ticking of water on the raincoat, in the puddles, on the moored boats.
September 1943. After four years of war, terror, destruction, the Neapolitans organize one of the most memorable popular insurrections against the German army.
There are days that are never forgotten: even when they seem buried under the passing of time, years, events, a storm can be enough to free the river of emotions and memories.
We are what we are because we are made of everything we have behind us.
“I giorni che non dimentichi – Le 4 giornate di Napoli” is an audio-cinematographic project that tries to recreate the experience of a movie theater through a purely sound experiment, in a dark and suggestive space like the underground of the Galleria Borbonica in Naples. A sound mosaic, which involves the reproduction of a multi-channel audio track inside a completely dark environment, conceived as if it were a real movie, without ever losing sight of the narration.
