The Archeotreno Campania, a vintage train that allows you to travel from the heart of Naples to the archaeological parks of Pompeii, Paestum, and Elea-Velia, returns on January 5th for Epiphany Eve. Consisting of Centoporte and Corbellini carriages from the 1930s and 1940s, the train will depart from Naples Central Station at 8:20 a.m., with intermediate stops at Pietrarsa – San Giorgio a Cremano (8:41 a.m.); Portici–Ercolano (8:46 a.m.); Pompeii (9:06 a.m.); Salerno (9:40 a.m.), Pontecagnano (9:49 a.m.); Paestum (10:12 a.m.); Ascea (10:42 a.m.); and Sapri (11:09 a.m.). The return journey from Sapri is at 4:30 p.m., arriving at Naples Central Station at 7:22 p.m.
Costs
The price for a return ticket is 20 euros for adults and 10 euros for children. Children (under 4 years old) accompanied by an adult travel for free, but are not guaranteed a seat. Lots of curiosity.
