He had two revolver-type pistols and 63 homemade bullets in his home. A 73-year-old man from Pagani, charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, was arrested and released the following day, with the preliminary investigations judge's approval.
The Carabinieri from the Pagani station, using confidential information, conducted checks at a residence, where there was suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm. Once inside, the man himself accompanied officers to the bedroom, where a compartment contained the two homemade pistols, along with ammunition. The man, placed under house arrest, later appeared before the investigating judge for validation, during which he explained that he had previously held a gun license, which had since expired. He had subsequently purchased the guns with the license. Finding no precautionary measures necessary, the judge released him. The weapons, however, were seized.
