Ercolano, 35 kilograms of swordfish illegally sold on the street seized

This morning, the personnel of the Coast Guard of Torre del Greco and Portici, as part of the usual activities of control of the fishing chain to protect fish products and the consumer, intercepted, along the city road of Ercolano, an illegal vendor dedicated to the sale of swordfish. The offender's car was therefore flanked by that of the military who, after having verified the presence of eight specimens of swordfish smaller than the minimum size of reference for the conservation of the fish stock, contested the illegal possession of the fish product with the raising of the report of contestation against the holder and seizure of the fish product. The specimens of swordfish, for a total weight of approximately 35 kg, following the inspection of the veterinarian of the local health company Na3 Sud of Portici were assessed as unfit for human consumption by the competent doctor and therefore sent for destruction
