Music and art come together for human rights. The CD-book "20x22" is now available, celebrating the twenty-second edition of "Voices for Freedom," the musical event organized by Amnesty International Italy, held in Rosolina Mare (Rovigo) last July. The book features songs by the twenty artists who performed at the event or participated in one of the festival's other events throughout the year.
The tracklist starts with the two winners of “Voci per la Libertà” 2019: Roy Paci with the song “Salvagente”, Amnesty International Italia Award in the Big section, and Grace N Kaos with “Nero”, awarded in the emerging section.
An album with a substantial booklet in which next to each song there is an illustration by a contemporary artist who has represented the song with one of his works. “20×22” is in fact the union of the souls of two festivals: one is precisely “Voci per la Libertà – Una canzone per Amnesty”, the other is “DeltArte – il Delta della Creatività”, more linked to contemporary art, two events united under the banner of “Arte per la Libertà”.
But there is more: “20×22” is not only a CD-book (which will be distributed through Amnesty International Italia, the Voci per la Libertà Association and on the website www.apogeoeditore.it) but also a multimedia project that sees alternating illustrations, music, photographs, lights, videos, graphics and that will be available from December 10th on www.20×22.it
The tracklist, after Roy Paci and Grace N Kaos, features a song by the rapper Picciotto, who performed in Rosolina Mare with Roy Paci, and then retraces the entire four days of “Voices for Freedom” alternating the other four finalists of the contest for emerging artists, namely Giulio Wilson, The Roomors, Chiara Patronella and Chiara Effe, with the guest artists: Valerio Piccolo, La Municipàl, Michele Mud, Gio Evan, Marcondiro, Kumi, le Mujeres Creando and the Pupi di Surfaro.
Finally, the collection also includes the musical protagonists of the Arte per la Libertà events and the “VxL in tour” review: Danilo Ruggero, Anna Luppi, Do'Storieski, Elisa Erin Bonomo and Marmaja.
Illustrating the songs are: Alessandra Carloni for Roy Paci, Jessica Ferro for Grace N Kaos, Artax for Picciotto, Sabrina Oliviero for Giulio Wilson, Cristina Chiappinelli for Valerio Piccolo, Violetta Carpino for The Roomors, Zentequerente for La Municipàl, La Fille Bertha for Chiara Effe, Michele Bernardi for Michele Mud, Alessio Bolognesi for Chiara Patronella, Ferruccio Carubini for Gio Evan, Carolì for Marcondiro, La Cigale Magique for Kumi, Antonella Porfido for Mujeres Creando, Centocanesio for Pupi Di Surfaro, Marco D'Angelo for Danilo Ruggero, Marco Mei for Anna Luppi, Iapimh for Do' Storieski, Eliana Albertini for Elisa Erin Bonomo, Luka for Marmaja.
