After the great success of the IV edition of Fiabe per Luci d'Artista, the Compagnia dell'Arte "returns home" to pick up the thread, at the Teatro delle Arti, of C'era una Volta 8, the appointments with the family show scheduled until April, always on Sundays.
For the occasion, the foyer is ready to transform into an enchanted place, where wizards and elves, princes and queens will welcome the audience to ferry them into the magical world of fairy tales. With affectionate music, costumes and bright smiles, the team of actors and dancers will accompany the families in the stalls.
Here, on Sunday 12th January, Cinderella will be performed. The immortal tale of the princess par excellence and her glass slippers will be the absolute protagonist of a family show in which the creativity and imagination of director Antonello Ronga contribute to “modernising” the story with truly original musical and choreographic contaminations.
A performance for the whole family, which aims to give back to young and old the strength to continue to believe in their dreams, to not give up despite the adversities of life and to never stop hoping that "the dream will come true". A magical moment that manages, again and again, to create that suggestive sympathetic relationship between actors and audience, that beats with a single heartbeat, breathes from a single belly, laughs with a single big smile.
On stage Alessandro Musto, Vincenzo Triggiano, Mauro Collina, Valentina Tortora, Fortuna Capasso (who also takes care of the choreography of Pina Testa's dance troupe with Davide Raimondo) Massimiliano Palumbo, Francesco Maria Sommaripa, Maria Caiafa.
Special guest Renata Tafuri as the stepmother. The sets are by Bottega San Lazzaro.
Cinderella will be played by Emanuela Emma Tondini, 30 years old, half of whom have lived in the theater. Her passion was born on the stage of her parish, then the first performances, the internships, the big roles. In addition to a theater workshop at the University of Salerno with Renato Carpentieri, there are several collaborations with Ernesto Lama and her debut, two years ago, as the only female actress in the company of Nando Paone and Peppe Barra in Don Quixote della Pignasecca. She dreams of the big stage and the roles of a villain.
"I would like to play more unprejudiced roles - she says - but my physiognomy and voice do not allow me to. With Cenerentola however I will try to follow a different path, telling the story of a more mature girl and not the classic girl in love. In her I have added the dream of great love, yes, but also her emancipation as a woman".
SYNOPSIS:
A story that has its roots in the south of Italy, in the province of Agro Nocera Sarnese in the seventeenth century, where a fairy tale passed down orally told of a poor orphan girl, reduced to slavery by an evil stepmother and six wicked stepsisters. A girl with a good heart, forced to sleep next to the ashes of the fire, like a cat, to the point of being called by everyone "Cinderella Cat". But as in all fairy tales that respect themselves, the goodness of soul and the purity of feelings of this young girl will be repaid and rewarded by "a little monk" who will give her a beautiful evening dress, a pair of diamond earrings and the golden slippers to go to the king's ball, the social event of the kingdom. Then the meeting with the prince, the love, the enchantment, the frantic search for that one girl who can wear the slipper and the wedding. A very simple but very moving story, a “cunto” by Giovan Battista Basile that in France fascinated Charles Perrault, who decided to rewrite it and rename it (just) Cinderella.
