Viminale: 'Maximum attention on attacks on 118 in Naples. From January 15th the cameras'

"The Ministry of the Interior is paying maximum attention to the very serious incidents of violence and aggression against 118 emergency workers in the city and province of Naples that have occurred in recent days." Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese stated this, adding that starting January 15th, the first cameras will be activated on ambulances operating in the Naples area, "as requested on December 16th at the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety." Furthermore, "hospitals are planning to install video surveillance systems connected to police headquarters. This operational effort will be strengthened to ensure the safety and protection of healthcare workers who serve the community daily," added the Interior Minister.
