Montesarchio. Three years. This is the sentence, negotiated by preliminary investigations judge Gelsomina Palmieri, for Vincenzo Colavecchia, 58, an entrepreneur from Airola, residing in Montesarchio, already known to law enforcement. The Carabinieri arrested him on July 26, 2019, for possession of 285 grams of cocaine with intent to distribute.
It was in a Smart that the military had stopped, carrying out a check that had allowed them to find, in the glove compartment, a small plastic container with 9 grams of cocaine. The next step was to search an apartment of the company of which he is the administrator, where they had discovered, hidden in a closet, two heat-sealed packages with the rest of the 'stuff' - according to the investigators it would have been possible to obtain 1500 doses -, four scales, a device for packaging and sealing the doses, bags and rolls of cellophane and the sum of 1400 euros.
Declared under arrest, Colavecchia ended up in the prison of contrada Capodimonte, which he left after a few days, at the end of the validation hearing. When, appearing before the investigating judge Loredana Camerlengo, he had claimed that the drugs, purchased through a person from San Felice a Cancello, were only for personal use: the supply to be consumed during the holidays.
Statements defined as "unbelievable" by Dr. Camerlengo, who had sent him to house arrest, to which he is still subjected. This morning the hearing and the definition of his position.
