A bus full of Neapolitan pilgrims returning from a trip to the Sanctuary of San Pio, in San Giovanni Rotondo, caught fire along the A16 Naples-Bari, in the Vallata area.
The vehicle was headed to Gragnano. The flames broke out a few meters from the Vallata toll booth. All passengers managed to get away from the vehicle, which was extinguished and made safe by the Avellino Fire Department, coming from the Bisaccia and Grottaminarda detachments. Fortunately, none of the occupants were injured.
