In Frattamaggiore, in Piazza Umberto I, a luminous statue depicting Santa Claus was installed on the occasion of the Christmas holidays.
As reported by the Director Antonio Iazzetta of Cogito, on the morning of December 3rd the statue was destroyed by a fire that was apparently caused by some firecrackers set off by some kids near the installation.
"It is shameful, it is unnerving to see how vandalism can ruin the festive atmosphere. New Year's Eve has passed and yet they continue to use firecrackers and cause damage with them. I ask that those responsible for this insane act be identified as soon as possible and that measures be taken against them" - attacked the Regional Councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
