The death toll from the car accident that occurred on the night of Saturday, January 4, in Lutago, Aurina Valley, in the province of Bolzano, has risen to seven. A 21-year-old woman who sustained serious head injuries in the tragic accident died in Innsbruck, Austria. Her injuries were too severe to be saved. Meanwhile, the lawyer for the driver, 27-year-old Stefano Lechner, has also spoken out. According to the lawyer, Lechner "wish he had died in the boys' place." Found with a very high blood alcohol level, Lechner immediately admitted responsibility for the accident and also stated that he attempted to provide first aid to the victims. He currently remains in prison in Bolzano awaiting a hearing to validate his arrest.
