Discussing it with the author will be Daniela Carotenuto, of the Il Nuovo Vesuvio Cultural Association, Paolo Giugliano, president of “Mai più amianto”, and Stefania Spisto, president of the “Il Quaderno Edizioni” Association which published the volume.
Giuseppe Biasco, born in Naples in 1949 and graduated in Historical Sciences at Federico II, expert in training, territorial development and European funding, traces the history and development of the Bagnoli area in 92 definitions.
The book retraces the phase of the construction of the Steel Center, its decommissioning and the attempts to reuse the urban space from the endless reclamation to the Program Agreements for the relaunch and development of the area. The text is accompanied by short profiles of the protagonists of that decisive event, which marked Naples and its province for 80 years and which continues to the present day.
